What is PUP/Android.Malct.518314? Is it a virus? Not a virus. Old MYTH versions once showed this flag from AhnLab V3 — the current build is 64/64 clean, the flag is gone. PUP = Potentially Unwanted Program — not trojan, ransomware, or data-stealer. PUP means "annoying, not destructive": extra ads, usage tracking, or extra permissions. Why did only 1/64 flag it back then? 63 engines said clean. Single-engine PUP flags are classic false positives for sideloaded APKs with ad SDKs or NSFW-gated content. If it were real malware, 10-30+ engines would fire. What MYTH actually does: mic only for voice messages/calls, photos only for character images. No SMS, no call logs, no accessibility abuse, no background mining. Built for the owner's best friend — we'd never ship harm.
Every engine says clean. VirusTotal runs the APK through 64 antivirus engines — trojan, ransomware, spyware, adware checks. Zero flags across all of them. Verify: download the APK → upload to virustotal.com → search SHA256 c8a8fbab…f08e → you'll see zero detections. c8a8fbab…f08e · 0 detections.
